Generation Zero, the open-world action game where you wage war against deadly machines in the Swedish countryside, has joined Xbox Game Pass today as a surprise addition to the service. Microsoft is yet to announce the game’s arrival, but as spotted by VG247, the game is now playable with Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. A new Game Pass trailer has also been uploaded to Systemic Reaction’s YouTube channel, which we’ve embedded above. Generation Zero is set in a reimagined 1980s Sweden where you and up to three other players are tasked with surviving in a vast, deadly open world that’s filled with hostile machines. Either solo or with your pals, you’ll be using stealth and guerilla tactics to move through the game’s world and bring down some of the gargantuan machines that have invaded the countryside. Generation Zero’s Resistance update has also just rolled out to Xbox consoles, which adds base building, a home defence mode, and bumps up the frame rate on Xbox Series X|S consoles to 60fps. When Generation Zero launched in 2019, it received middling reviews, but if you’ve always been curious about the game, now is the time to try it with Xbox Game Pass, especially with the new content and 60fps upgrade. What are your thoughts on Generation Zero? For those that haven’t played it, will you be giving this one a go? Let us know down in the comments!
