Bellator 264: Gegard Mousasi vs. John Salterfull betting odds.

Bellator 264 goes down from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut this Friday night on Showtime. The event is headlined by the Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi, as he defends his gold against rising contender John Salter.

The two-time Bellator middleweight champion will look to successfully defend his title for the second time in his career against a formidable opponent. Salter is riding a three-fight win streak. His most recent loss is to the former Bellator middleweight champion Rafael Lovato, who defeated Salter back at Bellator 205 in 2018.

Lovato went on to hand Mousasi the only loss of his Bellator career, pulling off the upset victory at Bellator 223. Since then, Lovato was forced to retire due to a health condition and vacated the gold that was recaptured by Mousasi last year against Douglas Lima.

Salter will look to hand Mousasi the second loss of his Bellator career on Friday. The 36-year-old, fighting out of Wilmington, North Carolina has just a single loss on his Bellator record. The veteran Salter got his big MMA break when he debuted in the UFC back in 2010. Between the UFC and Strikeforce, Salter put together a 2-2 record, before moving back to the regional MMA scene.

Salter debuted in Bellator in January 2015 where he holds an 8-1 record, with 7 of his 8 wins coming by way of stoppage. Salter comes into Bellator 264 as the strong betting underdog, with Mousasi lined at sportsbooks such as Wynnbet as odds of -400 or higher.
