Game Pass Ultimate loses two legacy EA Sports games in February 2025

F1 22 and Madden NFL 23 are leaving Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play soon. EA has confirmed that both legacy sports titles will be removed from the EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate libraries in February 2025. While they might not appear on our list of the best EA Play games with Game Pass Ultimate, it’s always sad to see games removed from these services.F1 22 and Madden NFL 23 to be removed from EA Play and Game PassOver on EA’s Online Services Shutdown page, the publisher has confirmed that Madden NFL 23 will be booted out of EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate on February 15, 2025, whereas F1 22 will crash out of both libraries on February 28, 2025. Madden NFL 23According to estimates, unlocking all Madden NFL 23 achievements will take between 80 and 100 hours, which isn’t too bad considering how much time you have before the game is removed from EA Play. It should be noted that Madden NFL 23 has already been delisted from the Xbox store, so if you want its 1,000G and don’t quite manage it before February 15, you will need to pick up a physical copy. The Xbox One version of Madden NFL 23, which has its own achievement list, will also drop out of EA Play on February 15. F1 22Unfortunately, F1 22 features a discontinued achievement, so if you’re new to the game, you won’t be able to earn a full 1,000G here. If you’re still interested in checking this one out, you’ll be able to earn 985G in around 30 hours. Much like Madden NFL 23, F1 22 has been delisted from the Microsoft Store, so if you don’t get around to playing it before it leaves EA Play on February 28, you will need to track it down on disc. On top of these EA Play/Game Pass removals, EA has announced it is closing the servers of Madden NFL 21 on June 30, 2025. Both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions feature two online-only achievements, which will be discontinued once the server closure hits.
