Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, GSC Game World and other developers in the country called on the games industry to help support Ukraine. Now, several studios and publishers have pledged financial aid to the country in a number of ways. Over the past few days, there has been an outpouring of support for Ukraine from the games industry, with numerous developers and publishers either donating directly to Ukrainian charitable organisations or by donating profits made from the sales of its games. 11 bit studios previously announced it would be donating a week’s worth of profits from the sale of its anti-war game, This War of Mine, and now, several other studios have followed 11 bit studios’ lead. Here is a list of games from publishers and developers that will be donating profits made from the sales of their games to Ukrainian charities: Crunching KoalasAll profits made from sales of Crunching Koalas’ games on all platforms from February 25th to March 4th will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross. Below are links to Crunching Koalas’ Xbox games. You can find its games on other platforms by following this link.Amanita Design All profits made from sales of Amanita Design’s games listed below from February 25th to March 4th will be donated to a non-profit organisation called People in Need.11 bit studiosFrom February 24th to March 3rd, 11 bit studios will donate all profits from the sales of This War of Mine on all platforms to the Ukrainian Red Cross. Bulkhead InteractiveBulkhead has donated £1,000 and will also donate profits made from the sales of The Turing Test between February 25th to March 4th.All In Games, The Farm 51, and PolyamorousAll In Games, The Farm 51, and Polyamorous will donate one week’s worth of proceeds from the sales of Chernobylite and Paradise Lost (between February 25th to March 4th) to help the victims of war.Artifex MundiArtifex Mundi has donated all profits it has earned this year so far from the Russian market (150,000 PLN) to the Polish Red Cross’ help for Ukraine fund. It will also donate proceeds from the sales of its game Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love up until the end of March.Red Deer GamesFrom March 1st to March 31st, Red Deer Games is donating 100% of profits from the sales of Cyber Protocol to help the “people of attacked and occupied Ukraine.” Thunderful GamesFrom February 28th to March 6th, Thunderful Games will donate all profits from the sales of Stemworld Heist (not available on Xbox) and Bridge Constructor to the International Committee of the Red Cross. Other games companies have donated directly to charitable organisations. Bungie will donate 100% of proceeds from the first two days of its Game2Give drive to “humanitarian aid efforts in response to ongoing conflict” in Ukraine. CD Projekt Group has donated 1 million PLN to Polska Akcja Humanitarna and its PC platform, GOG.com has partnered with 11 bit studios and the developer of the PC game Slipways to donate all profits from its shares of the sales of both games to the ‘Help Ukraine Fund’ of the Polish Red Cross and to Red Cross Ukraine. Polish mobile game developer Huuuge Games will be donating 1 million PLN to “charitable causes helping the victims of the war in Ukraine.”The Ontario-based Warframe developer, Digital Extremes, has also donated $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to “to assist in humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine.” Of course, these are just a handful of the many games companies that are donating money to charitable organisations in support of the Ukrainian people, and more are doing so every day. We’ll update this list as and when we see more developers pledging their support.
