To celebrate the French esports organisation’s seventh anniversary, Solary has announced plans for a new 1300 m² facility as well as a fan-focused mobile application.
The facility will be twice as big as Solary’s current premises, featuring two boot camp spaces, stream rooms, a photo and video studio, a gym and an esports arena.
The news was first revealed during Solary’s anniversary livestream earlier this week and later shared across the organisation’s social media. The facility is expected to be complete by Summer 2025.
Moreover, Solary published a YouTube video visiting and discussing the new premises. According to the video, Solary has invested over €1m (~£831,000) into the project.
On the same day, Solary announced its fan mobile application. The application, set to be launched soon, is dedicated to keeping up-to-date with the organisation’s news, events and esports matches. To incentivise user loyalty, fans can also accumulate points that will be exchanged for rewards.
Founded in 2017, Solary is headquartered in Tours and competes in a variety of esports titles, such as Fortnite, VALORANT and Teamfight Tactics. The club is most known for its participation in League of Legends’ French league, the LFL.
The French esports organisation’s partners include supermarket chain ALDI, Acer’s gaming brand Predator and electronics retailer Boulanger.
France has slowly established itself as one of the most prominent esports locations in Europe, with several major events taking place in the country. The semi-finals and quarter-finals of the League of Legends World Championship are currently being held in Paris, while the Championship for one of Riot Game’s other esports titles, VALORANT, will be heading to the French capital next year.
Furthermore, French esports organisations, such as Karmine Corp and Team Vitality, have gained recognition both locally and across global esports stages. Team Vitality, specifically, has made significant expansions this year by entering StarCraft II, Rennsport, women’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings.
