Ark: Survival Evolved remains one of the biggest and best survival games around. Taking the touchstones of crafting and base building to an island infested with dinosaurs, it continues to dominate Steam all these years later. With concurrent players regularly over the 40,000 mark and a whopping 536,000 reviews at 84% positive since launch, the original Ark is still some of the best the survival genre has to offer. This formula came to mobile late last year in the form of Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition, and this version keeps going from strength to strength.

According to a new statement shared by Snail Games, the Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition version has already surpassed three million downloads. This means the Ark: Survival Evolved spinoff has had an incredibly solid opening three weeks. The survival game already did well within hours of launch, and this success just continues that trend.

When the game launched at the tail end of 2024, Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition was downloaded over one million times in just 24 hours. According to Snail Games, these player numbers for the Ultimate Mobile Edition are a 100% increase over the launch of the original Ark: Survival Evolved mobile port in 2018.

Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition even has an ongoing event right now, so if you decide to give the free-to-play game a shot you can get even more done over the weekend. Until Monday January 13, if you play on official servers you’ll get double XP, harvesting, breeding, taming, and halved mating intervals.

Keep in mind that while Ark: Ultimate Mobile Edition is free-to-play, it does come with in-app purchases on both iOS and Android. So if you want to explore past the main island or enhance your gameplay experience, that’ll cost you money.

If you’re still playing Ark elsewhere and want even more, we’ve got your back with all the best Ark mods and Ark commands to help you get the most out of your time.
