Playground Games has detailed everything dropping in Forza Horizon 5’s Series 4 Update, including the Horizon World Cup, Festival Playlist changes, and bug fixes. As detailed in a new Let’s Go stream, the first big change coming with the Series 4 Update is the Horizon World Cup. The Horizon World Cup is a community competition between different countries and the case from those specific countries. By using a car manufactured in your chosen country and using it in Festival Playlist modes such as Seasonal Championships, The Trial, Playground Games, etc, you will score a point for that country in the World Cup. The countries taking part in the Horizon World Cup are the USA, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan. At the end of the Series, players will be sent a reward based on the winner. With the Horizon World Cup taking place across Series 4, the Festival Playlist is undergoing some changes and will focus primarily on racing. It appears that Playground has stripped out PR Stunts for this month’s Playlist, and instead, we’ll be asked to complete Showcase Remixes, which are the big events where you race against vehicles like planes or trains. With Showcase Remixes, these events have been changed to include different cars, music, the time of day, weather, and more. Playground later teased that Series 5 will focus more on PR Stunts. New cars to unlock coming with the Festival Playlist in Series 4 include: NIO EP9Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0Wuling Sunshine SMG MG3The team also discussed a bunch of bug fixes coming with the update. You can expect some crash and stability fixes, fixes for certain accolades, and a fix for a Festival Playlist issue for Seasonal Championships that wouldn’t complete when changing difficulty. Playground is also still working on retroactively awarding bugged Playlist Challenges from previous Series. This is currently in final testing, so it won’t be included with the Series 4 Update. Series 4 in Forza Horizon 5 begins on February 3rd. What do you make of the changes coming with the new Series? Let us know down in the comments.
