DC Comics superhero Beast Boy is coming to Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic Games first teased the reveal earlier today before the news became official. Most will recognize Beast Boy from his run alongside Raven, Robin, Cyborg and Starfire in the hit animated Teen Titans series. While Beast Boy is due to arrive in the Item Shop on May 13, Epic Games announced a Teen Titans Cup, where players across Fortnite’s seven server regions can win free in-game items. There’s a lot to break down, so let’s take a look at the competition.

Teen Titans Cup Format & Start Date

Epic Games selected duos as the format for Beast Boy’s introductory tournament. That means only teams of two are eligible to compete in the event. Players of any Arena Mode rank can participate in the Teen Titans Cup, which will last three hours or ten total matches. The tournament will begin on May 12 with the Middle East and progress through all seven regions. Here is the complete format:
- Three-hour session
- Ten possible matches
- Earn as many points as possible based on the tournament’s scoring system (below)
Teen Titans Cup Scoring System
Fortnite tournaments feature scoring systems that award points to placement and eliminations. The Teen Titans Cup is more placement-heavy, meaning teams will want to stay alive long to maximize their points. A Victory Royale is worth 42 points in total, while teams will earn one point per elimination. Here is the complete scoring system:

Teen Titans Cup Prize Distribution
Duos are competing for a Beast Boy Loading Screen, Cosmetic Outfit and Back Bling. Teams in each region that earn just eight points will automatically unlock the “BBRae” Loading Screen. Only the highest placing teams walk away with the Beast Boy skin and back bling. Here is the complete prize distribution per region:
