Join ESTNN as we rank the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7.

The right landing spot in Fortnite Battle Royale can make or break your game. Understanding what the various locations have to offer is half the battle. Epic Games has introduced numerous points of interest (POIs) over the last four years; some are iconic and others not-so-much. We are just over two weeks removed from the launch of Chapter 2 – Season 7. Only a handful of new locations emerged from the latest rendition, while the core Chapter 2 originals have remained virtually untouched for seven seasons.

Today, ESTNN highlights five of our favorite spots to land this season. The ultimate goal was to provide some options for aggressive and passive players. We fully expect the map to change throughout the next few months, so we reserve the right to adjust this list if and when that does happen. With all that said, let’s jump in and take a look at the best of Season 7’s landscape.

Dirty Docks

A shot of the Dirty Docks location in Fortnite, an industrial harbor on a pleasant sea.

Not much has changed for the worse in Dirty Docks from Season 6 to Season 7. It’s a location that offers anything casual or competitive Fortnite players could ask for in the game’s current state. There are 36 potential Chest spawns, one Supply Chest, an Upgrade Bench, plenty of transportation and building materials. Perhaps the best aspect about Dirty Docks is its expansive landscape, allowing players to farm materials and fight other players in a more forgiving setting. Epic Games has an apparent love for this particular POI, and for that reason, Dirty Docks sits atop the list of ideal spots.

Camp Cod

The Camp Cod Fortnite location, a small farm on a coastal bluff.

Camp Cod is one of my favorite areas to land, regardless of the season. Not many players usually land here, and it offers much more than most would expect. The island itself can contain as many as 18 Chest spawns with others in the surrounding area. Boats and cars are available to players for mobility, which will inevitably come in handy for far rotations. Other solid aspects of Camp Cod include the number of fishing spots and an Upgrade Bench to help improve your inventory. It’s the perfect low-key POI to utilize en en route to a Victory Royale.

Steamy Stacks

The Steamy Stacks location in Fortnite, an industrial factory with two smoke stacks emitting purple gases.

Mobility is not an issue if you decide to land at Steamy Stacks. Like Dirty Docks, Steamy has been a real bright spot since Chapter 2 began in Fortnite Battle Royale. This season, Steamy Stacks holds 24 possible Chest spawns within its walls, an Upgrade Bench, and of course, the two cooling towers for ultimate rotations. Steamy’s only drawback is the lack of materials, but there’s plenty of farmable brick located around the outskirts. As an added bonus, players will find a Supply Chest with some IO Guard equipment inside. Steamy Stacks a foundational POI that is worth mastering.

Corny Complex

The Corny Complex location in Fortnite, a large farm situated in a mountain valley.

A new POI this season, Corny Complex, replaced Colossal Crops from Season 5, and it carries both risk and reward. The fact that it’s a new spot inherently draws more players in, meaning you’ll be fighting hordes of opponents. Nonetheless, there’s no denying Corny Complex’s 29 potential Chest spawns and five Supply Chests. Additionally, anyone who ventures east to the riverbank will find five more Chests and an Upgrade Bench. While landing here could result in instant death, Corny Complex has enough perks to warrant the risk.

Misty Meadows

The Misty Meadows location in Fortnite, a quaint rural village near the water.

Misty Meadows rounds out our list, and for a good reason. It’s been one of the best locations since it arrived in Chapter 2 – Season 1. While Season 7 added no new features to Misty, players can rely on 29 potential Chest spawns in its vicinity, and it’s not congested. Anyone landing here can compile loot before engaging opponents in an even battle. The IO base close by contains Rail Guns and Recon Scanners as well. Toss in all of the fishing spots one can handle, and Misty is as good as it has ever been.

Epic Games teased that more locations could surface throughout Chapter 2 – Season 7. One of the rumors revolves around a change at Coral Castle. Don’t forget the rumored low gravity biome, either. We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as the alien invasion continues!
