Fortnite Remix Leaks – What is Remix Chapter 2 and Skins

Oct 23, 2024

This week, Epic has started speculation for what’s coming next to Fortnite. This is a roundup of all of the new Fortnite Remix info.

In just a few more days, we’ll move on from Chapter 5 forever. Leaving the C5 S4 map and going back to Chapter 2’s island. While we’ve been expecting OG to return, it seems it has a new name. Fortnite Remix.

Epic has begun to tease the mini-season that will take us back to the second island, Fortnite Remix. Through some early teases that have been sent out, we already have a look at some of the Fortnite Remix skins that are coming.

While quite a few details have been known for a while, this latest information really opens things up. We have a much clearer idea of what’s coming in November. What are all of the latest Fortnite Remix leaks?

What is Fortnite Remix?

Fortnite Remix Leaks

After the most recent set of teasers sent out to content creators, it looks like Fortnite Remix is the name for our next season of the game. A mini-season is expected to last around four weeks as we move into Chapter 6 in December.

Fortnite Remix is the thing we’ve seen in Fortnite leaks since much earlier this year. That ominous Chapter 2 promo art we saw floating on the roadmap leak.

For quite a while now, it’s been common knowledge that OG is back this year. Not going back to Chapter 1 again, but this time revisiting Chapter 2. With Chapter 1 still dominating the Reload mode’s map, this version of the game will take the main Battle Royale to Midas’ home.

It seems Epic has decided on a different kind of branding to suit Chapter 2. Since this Chapter isn’t really OG, it’s getting a new name that invokes more of a music theme.

Specifically, the idea of a remix. The B-Side with an alternative version to the A-Side which was the original Chapter 2.

The original Fortnite OG already used quite a few remix skins. It looks like this will continue with the Chapter 2 Fortnite Remix skins. However, along with past leaks, these teasers contain a few more details about what we’re expecting to change with the new Fortnite Remix leaks.

Fortnite Remix Skins

Forget the gameplay changes, the map, weapons, or anything important like that, what really matters in new updates is skins. Or to some people. Fortnite Remix skins are looking particularly interesting.

Chapter 1 had the OG draw of mashing up those iconic early Fortnite skins, the ones that have become the rarest Fortnite skins.  Chapter 2 has its own charms though.

Out of all the characters that Fortnite has created, the Ghost and Shadow crews might be the most memorable. There is loads of scope for creative Fortnite Remix skins of this Chapter.

Looking at the teases and leaks, we’ve got a good look at one of them. We’re getting Midascles. Or Meowdas. Some kind of crossover over between Midas and Meowscles!

These are probably the most lasting characters out of Chapter 2. We get new versions of Meowscles all the time, and it’s always an exciting addition. Midas has recently had a whole event themed around his return to the island.

Crossing these two over seems like a clear win for Fortnite Remix skins. Next up is apparently TNTina. We don’t know as much about how she’ll be changed from the original though. She might also be crossed over with another character, like the Lil Whip Peely in the OG Battle Pass last year.

That still leaves quite a few Battle Pass slots for future surprises too, so there’s plenty still to come in Fortnite Remix skins. There will likely be a handful more along with other cosmetics to go with them.

Last year’s mini-season saw long-passed Item Shops return. Chapter 2’s long-lost collabs include much-requested characters, like Chun-Li Fortnite skin. Hopefully, some of these show up in the item shop too! Although, Fortnite Remix leaks don’t cover the store just yet.

The Schedule and Seasons – Fortnite Remix Leaks

Fortnite OG covered a season a week, but pacing will be different for Fortnite Remix. It’ll instead focus on a few core seasons of the game.

It looks like we’re getting two weeks of the early seasons of Fortnite Remix and not 1 like last time. Since these original seasons were roughly double length, it makes sense to adjust this way.

it makes the schedule line up with the original experience in quite a tidy way. Great if you want Remix to feel like experiencing that part of Fortnite’s history in miniature.

After that, we’re revisiting the flood season. This was one of the game’s most original ideas for a seasonal change. Flood the map and gradually reveal it. This might be just a week of the mid-way flooded map. Although, we could also see the water recede day to day this time.

Fortnite Remix leaks say we won’t go much further than that. Originally leakers thought the Marvel season would be featured, but it seems that won’t be the case now.

Further into Chapter 2, we saw the seasons get especially wacky. There are likely not that many players upset that the dire Wild Hunt season won’t be coming back. Although, the alien season was definitely fun enough to warrant another run.

It appears Fortnite Remix will only be covering the first section of the Chapter. However, with the latter half getting much stranger it would be difficult to see it all in a week. There’s always the possibility revisit Fortnite Remix in the future for these later seasons too.

When is Fortnite Remix?

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Last Resort

Those are the Fortnite Remix leaks so far. When do we get a proper look at everything? It’s going to launch on November 2nd, when our current season comes to an end. Players will then have around a month to play around before we again move to a fresh Chapter and new map.

Fortnite Remix Skins will likely get revealed in more detail as we get closer, so keep an eye out for more teases.
