ESTNN breaks down the upcoming Fortnite Champion Series tournament in Season 7.

It’s almost time again for another installment to the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS). Beginning in 2019 with trios, the FNCS has been the measuring stick for the world’s best Fortnite players. Epic Games experimented with squads, duos and solos as a primary format, but the last few seasons have put a central focus on trios. Some teams have defined their legacies in competitive Fortnite while rising stars are itching to breakthrough.

Since Chapter 2 – Season 4, we’ve witnessed three consecutive trio competitions with $3M USD prize pools spread across Fortnite’s seven worldwide server regions. Only one week stands between the world’s top trios and another crack at their share of a massive prize pool. Today, ESTNN breaks down FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 7, including the format, prize distribution, scoring system and more!

Format & Schedule

The trio competitive Fortnite landscape continues in Chapter 2 – Season 7. All seven regions will compete in a series of qualifiers, with the ultimate goal of either finishing top-three in one of the three weeks or accumulating enough points to reach the FNCS Semi-Final—also known as heats. All qualifiers have four rounds, and teams must finish inside a certain placement threshold to qualify to the next stage.
