Epic Games and Euro 2020 have combined forces to produce a first-of-its-kind UEFA Euro 2020 Fortnite tournament. Available to all seven qualifying server regions, this solo tournament offers $50K USD in cash prizes and some in-game cosmetics to those who participate. The partnership falls in line with the recent revelation that European football stars Harry Kane and Marco Reus would join the game’s “ICON Series”. Now, competitive Fortnite players worldwide have their chance to pad their earnings and win exclusive items.
UEFA Cup Format, Schedule, Qualification & How to Compete
Fortnite’s collaboration with Euro 2020 brings a $50K USD prize pool, emotes and sprays to all seven competitive server regions. This competition will occur across three rounds and is open to all players regardless of their Arena Mode rank. Participants first compete in round one and need to accumulate enough points to advance in the tournament. If successful, a pre-determined amount of players based on their round one finish will move into the second round.
On June 16, the tournament should appear in all Fortnite player’s in-game “Compete” tab as seen in the image above. Once their region’s session time begins, participants can queue into the competition.
Here is the complete format breakdown for all regions:
Round One (June 16)
- Three-hour session
- A maximum of ten matches
- Players earn points based on the round one scoring system defined below
- Top 1,000 players advance to round two (NA East, NA West, Europe & Brazil)
- Top 500 players advance to round two (Asia, Middle East & Oceania)
Round Two (June 17)
- Three-hour session
- A maximum of ten matches

UEFA Cup Scoring System
The EUFA 2020 Fortnite tournament features two different scoring systems, one per round. Placement points are the same in both sessions. Players who earn a Victory Royale will add 42 points to their total. Eliminations are worth two points in round one and three points in round two. Otherwise, the two scoring systems are identical.
