It’s time to celebrate Fortnite Battle Royale’s 4th Birthday.
Released in 2017, the Epic Games-developed title has taken on a life of its own in terms of popularity. Each year, the developers host an event to honor Fortnite’s birthday, where players can complete quests to unlock free rewards.
The 2021 iteration has arrived, and Epic provides a free back bling, pickaxe, and emoticon as a reward for completing three of four quests. Additionally, there are some birthday-related items around the island and the usual Birthday Battle Bus is now present.

Fortnite’s 4th Birthday Quests & Rewards
Fortnite’s 4th Birthday celebration features four challenges and three unlockable cosmetic items. The quests themselves seem straightforward; throw birthday presents, consume birthday cakes, dance in front of cakes and collect resources from balloon decorations.
The Birthday Present items spawn as floor loot and in chests. Birthday Cakes are present in all major points of interest (POIs) and perhaps more minor landmarks. Balloon Decorations are also abundant across the entire map. In gist, the quests should be relatively easy to complete. One completed challenge nets the pickaxe, two get you the back bling and three unlock the emoticon.
