The Football Manager 2024 Winter Update is one of the most anticipated aspects of the game each year. Not only does it bring in all the transfers from the Winter transfer window, but a huge number of stat updates and wonderkids will get added to the game. But when is the Football Manager 2024 Winter Update likely to be released? Let’s take a look based on previous years, and also what might change this year.
Given the huge amount of data that the Football Manager team handles, it’s no surprise it takes them a little longer to push out an update than say EA FC. This is mostly because FM waits until the window is closed across the world before doing one massive update for most of the football leagues in the World.
In 2023 we got the update on March 1st, which was about a week later than FM22. So, we can be fairly sure that late February to early March is about the timeframe that we’re looking at. But, what will this update include?
So, obviously, we’ll see all the transfers added, alongside any other major changes to clubs. Outside of that, we’ll probably see thousands of major stat updates to players that have impressed since the start of the season. This will normally include players who are having a “breakout” season like Anthony Gordon at Newcastle or even Bellingham at Real Madrid. This update also adds lots of new Wonderkids to the game as we prepare for the next wave of young players to fill out the loan queue with.
The data update will also include the normal bug fixes and improvements to the game that you expect with any FM update.
