Esports organisation Fnatic has announced a partnership with gaming furniture brand Blacklyte, focused on gaming chairs.
This new partnership will make Blacklyte the official Gaming Chair and Desk Partner for Fnatic, enabling it to use Blacklyte’s products for competition and practice. In addition, the two partners will work on content and limited edition products in the future.
Blacklyte is a relatively new contender in the gaming furniture space. The company, which started out as a smart home and lighting brand during the pandemic, has launched several gaming chairs and desks aimed at the higher segments of the market, and has recently partnered with esports tournament organiser BLAST for its Rainbow Six, RLCS and FNCS events.
The partnership with Fnatic is the first-ever time that Blacklyte has partnered with an esports team in Europe, and is the latest in a string of chair partnerships for the brand which included the likes of AndaSeat and Steelcase in the past.
Fnatic has partnered with Steelcase, another company known for gaming chairs, in April 2024, making the shift to Blacklyte a surprising move. Steelcase is also no longer shown as a partner on the Fnatic website.
Sam Mathews, CEO of Fnatic, said: “At Fnatic, we strive to provide our players with the best tools to succeed. Blacklyte’s innovative approach to gaming furniture aligns perfectly with our mission to lead in esports performance. This partnership is an important step towards ensuring our players have the best environment to excel at the highest levels of competition.”
