We are looking for an experienced Drone Technician to join our team at Flying Robot.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks Managing and prioritising your Job cardsHelping assist with drone repairsHelping clients over the phone and email with more technical questions to help guide their purchases in our storeAssessing returned products and dealing with RMAs with suppliersCustom design and 3D modelling for clientsWeekly Tasks – Checking workshop stockMonthly Tasks – Assisting with and contributing to our in-house R&D projects.Key Performance Indicators – Attention to detail, Accuracy, time management, customer service excellence, clean and tidy workshop.
Educational Requirements:
Matric (Must have)
Tertiary Degree (Preferably Engineering Mechatronics but not essential)
Remote Maintenance Technician Course (Preferred)
Requirements
Experience building and repairing FPV Drones.Experience with Arudpilot and the Cube ecosystemExperience as an RMT for a commercial drone company CAD and 3D modelling experienceExperience with 3D printers and CNC machine Lives in Cape Town (preferably southern suburbs)Own transportPassion for drones and the RC hobby is another added advantageEager to learn

We are looking for Engineering Vac Work Interns. We work on exciting projects for clients as well as our own in-house R&D. We need interns who want to get their hands dirty and learn from real life drone building and problem solving. Experience in 3D modelling and design, 3D printing, CNC, circuit design and programming are all welcome.
