Fisch Wormhole Enchant Guide
The Rod of The Depths added during The Depths update is a late-game rod with well-balanced stats and a unique ability. Obtaining it requires a visit through The Depths Maze, an Abyssal and Hexed Enchant Relic and 750,000 C$.
So, what does this have to do with the Wormhole Enchant? Well, players discovered that if The Rod of The Depths gains this enchant, it heightens its built-in ability and helps cheese high-rarity fish such as Sharks outside of their events and the Spectral Serpents.
How Does It Work?
Backtracking to the passive of this rod, when held, a spirit of the player taking the appearance of their current avatar floats behind them. Every three catches, the ghost reels in a fish alongside the player. Meanwhile, the Wormhole Enchant has a 45% chance to catch a fish from any location per pull.
The idea is to have the Wormhole trigger at the same time as the ghost to double the random odds. But, given Fisch has numerous islands and a massive Bestiary, it’s hard to refine the hunt to Mythics.
To counter this, players pop an Aurora Totem (500,000 C$ from the Brine Pool) to gain x6 Universal Luck. And/or visit Merlin atop Sunstone Island to buy stacks of +30% Luck lasting 10 minutes for 5,000 C$ per.
With the rod, mutation and luck boosts, only then do players encounter sought-after fish. Though it comes with a hefty price and no guarantee. But, if you do snag something like the Spectral Serpent, you’ll have an easier time catching it than with the Reinforced Rod! So… Silver linings and all that.
Is It Worth The Investment?
If you’re a late-game player with money to spare then sure! The Rod of The Depths isn’t easy to obtain, nor is the expensive Aurora Totem to pair with it. In total, you’re looking to spend 1,250,000 C$ on rod and totem alone without the cost of supplies to find the rod, or how many relics you’d burn through before getting the Wormhole enchant.
