Fisch Winter Cloak Guide
The Winter Cloak is a vital part of your Northern Expedition exploration. Obtained for an inexpensive 7,500C$ near the summit beside Hiker #5, this item keeps players’ temperature at 37 degrees so that they can freely explore without needing trips to campfires. Now, all you’ll need to worry about is your oxygen tank!
The exact coordinates for the Winter Cloak sit at 20168, 780 and 5721. Be sure to follow these as Northern Expedition has two NPCs by the name of Hiker #5, with one residing at the Frigid Caverns campsite (where the Pickaxe and Avalanche Rod are found), and the other hiker at the summit where the Winter Cloak and Advanced Glider is located.
Once equipped, the Winter Cloak defaults to the original blocky avatar state, so all players wearing one must endure a bulky body with thicker arms and torso. Fortunately for me, my avatar has this shape anyway. However, it does look funny and unbalanced on players who typically use slimmer body parts.
When To Use The Cloak
If you’re not keen on its fashion, you’ll only want to equip the coak when travelling from the Northern Summit to the Overgrowth Caves at coordinates 19623, 338 and 5455. When you reach this area, you’ll gain the temperature and oxygen bar on the left of your avatar to monitor.
If your temperature drops below 35 degrees, the bar slowly depletes. Similar to when diving, if you let this bar empty you’ll die. But hey, if you die 4 times you’ll earn The Fool title. Silver linings and all that.
