Ready to walk the plank and dive into the waters in search of treasure? You’ll need a Fisch Treasure Map first to know where to plunge. This guide tells you how to get maps and use them, and all possible chest rewards!

Fisch Treasure Map Guide
Similarly to Enchant Relics, Treasure Maps can snag on your line randomly in any location. However, they’re twice as rare with a 1 in 1,000 encounter. Because the Maps aren’t bestiary entries, luck boosters such as events and rod types don’t increase your chances of finding one and aren’t giftable/tradeable.
When you finally find one, head to the pirate island Forsaken Shore and enter the eye socket of the large skull where the Jack Marrow NPC resides. In exchange for 250C$, he rewrites the map to be legible with coordinates to find a treasure chest. Unfortunately, the chest won’t spawn until you’ve paid Jack Marrow, so hopefully you get loot inside worth 250C$ or more to break even.
Hint: Before you go chest hunting, you’ll want to buy a GPS tracker found on both Moosewood and Mushgrove for a cheap 100C$.
Alternatively, if you have the Sunken Rod, fishing for Treasure Maps becomes easy work, which I’ll explain in the next section.
Treasure Chest Loot
Whilst not necessary, I recommend kitting out to get the Basic or Advanced Diving gear as Treasure Chests have the likely chance of appearing underwater. They spawn anywhere, but in a game where the majority of the map is a waterworld, you’re likely going to take a swim.
