Fisch Sunken Rod Guide
About The Sunken Rod
The Rapid Rod is a fishing rod with the following stats.
- Lure Speed: 20%
- Luck: 150%
- Control: 0.15
- Resilience: 0
- Max Weight Of Fish: 5000kg
These stats mean the Sunken Rod is the new second luckiest rod in the game, behind the Destiny Rod, though the Sunken Rod is better equipped to handle really big fish, making it potentially better for endgame bestiary-filling. It’s also very very good at finding Treasure Maps.
How To Get The Sunken Rod
You get the Sunken Rod as a rare reward from Treasure Chests. Well, we could just tell you that and run away cackling into the night, but maybe we should elaborate a little.
Treasure Chests are a new mechanic introduced in the Forsaken Shores update. To find a Treasure Chest you first need to get hold of a Treasure Map. You have a small chance to find a Treasure Map while fishing, though you usually can’t just race off to find the X. You need to visit Captain Jack Marrow on the Forsaken Shores and pay him 250C$ to ‘fix’ the map for you. Once you have to coordinates, you’ll also need a GPS device from Moosewood to track down the exact locations.
Once you have the GPS and the coordinates, simply follow them to find the chest. If it’s underwater, you might need dive gear, too. Keep in mind, the Sunken Rod is a fairly rare reward from a Treasure Chest, so you might need to go through quite a few before you get the rod.
