Fisch Resourceful Rod Guide

The Resourceful Rod is one of many crafted within the Ancient Archives connected to the Ancient Isle. Standalone, this rod doesn’t seem meta compared to The Rod of The Depths and other late-game rods. However, its unique passive means the Resourceful Rod is a builder, capable of brute forcing its way into the meta.

Its passive allows this rod to double the effectiveness of any bait equipped. This also means that negative effects become doubled, but the rod more than makes up for it with potential.

To craft this rod within the Ancient Archives, you’ll need the base requirements of 15,000C$ and level 50. Its material cost includes x3 Amethyst, x2 Lunar Driftwood and x1 Magic Thread.

Resourceful Rod Stats

Now, keep in mind the focus of this rod is its passive and not base stats. In the next section, I’ll include its best enchant to amplify its passive.

  • Lure Speed: 15%
  • Luck: 30%
  • Control: -0.01
  • Resilience: 0
  • Max KG: 1,000

Best Enchant

I don’t often say this… But Scrapper may be the best enchant for this rod. If you can handle its weak base stats and are a seasoned player used to the game mechanics, I’d recommend Scrapper as it offers a 60% chance to not consume bait.

However, if you’re uncertain about the negative control or Resilience, choose the Controlled or Resilience Enchant.

Is The Resourceful Rod META or Mid?

Personally, I think this rod is hugely slept on since its initial stats don’t tempt many players into crafting it. But consider how overpowered it is when paired with a high resilience or high luck bait, anyone using it will have no issue catching high-rarity fish.

For example, paired with Weird Algae which applies +200 Universal Luck and -35% Lure Speed, the rod will adopt and double this to be +400 Universal Luck and -70% Lure Speed.
