Fisch Relic Rod Guide
During the archaeologist discovery event, the Ancient Isles island located at coordinates 4043, 131 and 74 won’t appear in the Bestiary. However, when here, you’ll gain EXP for finding this area, similar to when visiting smaller locations such as The Arch.
Fishing in the local waters will uncover various Ocean Bestiary fish. So, what’s the purpose? Near the back of the island waits a strange Ancient Gate locked behind a runic code. To unlock it, you must complete the Fossil Bestiary for Dr. Finneus. Once done, he hands you a map and an Hourglass Bobber. (I have a guide on this linked above!)
The map includes coordinates for the island past Mushgrove Swamp and includes 9 inscribing sigils. To unlock the gate and find the Relic Rod, you must press each corresponding pattern from right to left, top to bottom, matching your map password.
Relic Rod Stats
If successful, the door opens and you can enter the Ancient Gate and drop down to the base where the Relic Rod rests against a large stone-like skeletal hand for 8,000 C$. The Rod doesn’t boast late-game stats but makes a nice collector’s item since it’s limited to this week-long event. Plus, it looks cool thanks to its bony appearance.
