About The Pufferfish
Pufferfish are rare fish that resemble a yellow sphere with fins and pink lips. They are a part of the large Ocean bestiary. They weigh around 1kg, so you can catch them with most of the game’s fishing rods without too much trouble.
Uses For Pufferfish
Aside from something you can sell for cash, there are actually a surprising number of uses for a Pufferfish.
Let’s run over the two main ones.
- You can give one of them to Orc at his camp at the base of Roslit Volcano. He’ll give you the Magma Rod in exchange.
- You need to give one to the NPC Minish at Harvester’s Spike as the last step of the Brick Rod quest. You find Minish only on foggy Summer nights.
So there’s a good reason for getting your hands on one or two of these round bois.
How To Catch A Pufferfish
Pufferfish can be a little bit confusing. They’re listed under the Ocean bestiary, but they’re far more commonly caught in the waters around the Roslit Bay coral reef. There’s a particular area they appear most you can see on the Fish Radar. We’ve captured this in out feature image. The coordinates are, roughly X -1433, Y 137, Z 440 for the coast next to the abundance area.
The Pufferfish favours the following conditions and bait.
