So, first we’ll give you some info on the fish itself, then talk about how to catch it.
About The Octophant
The Octophant is the biggest, rarest catch in the Animal event. This hybrid of octopus and elephant is massive, and can weigh up to 50,000kg. Though most aren’t quite that large, it’s still a heavy and fairly challenging catch. It has high resilience, though its progress speed penalty isn’t as huge as with some rare fish out there.
The Octophant is of Limited rarity.
How To Catch An Octophant
An Octophant has the following preferences for conditions and baits.
- Preferred Seasons: Summer
- Preferred Time: None
- Preferred Weather: Clear
- Preferred Bait: Golden Worm
It’s a little more complicated than that, though. Octophants are only found in the Second Sea, and they’re only found in Octophant Hunt events. The Octophant Hunt is a little like a Shark Hunt or Kraken Hunt, with some extra steps.
The Octophant appears in the middle of a pool filled with animal-fish, but it’s not immediately catchable. Fishers need to catch at least 25 animal-fish from the pool before the Octophant is unleashed, then you’ll get a shot at hooking the big guy. Octophant Hunts spawn on a regular basis, so just hang out in a server and wait for one to kick off.
