A fish can be ‘mutated’ when you reel it in with your fishing rod. There are various types of mutations, each of which increases the value of the fish when selling to a merchant. You can also increase your chances of getting a Mutated fish by using Enchants and specific Rods – more on that below!

While catching a Mutated fish is all down to RNG, there are 2 ways to increase your chances yourself. The first is by using specific fishing rods, and the second is by enchanting a rod with certain Enchants. The third way is relying on the Mutation Event!
