Yep, the Fisch Isonade is based on the Japanese Yokai! The way to obtain it is a little different from the usual, but once you know where to find it, and what it prefers, your chances of getting one are increased!

To catch an Isonade, swim straight into Roblox‘s Fisch! Ready to customise your fishing experience? Check out our Fisch Bobbers guide and our Fisch Lanterns guide to deck yourself out.

Fisch Isonade

The Isonade is a shark-like fish found in the game. It doesn’t exist in real life, but it is part of a Japanese legend, making it a well-known Yokai.

Where to Catch an Isonade

The Isonade is a unique Mythic fish! Only one player on the server can obtain one from a Strange Whirlpool. If you manage to reel one in, the whirlpool then closes, which means access to Vertigo is now blocked until another Strange Whirlpool spawns.

Now, if you’ve been to Vertigo before, you’ll know that entering the Strange Whirlpool either in your boat or by swimming takes you there. However, for the Isonade fish, you need to stop your boat just outside of the whirlpool. When you’re on the cusp of it, it’s time to start fishing!

While this is the only location where the Isonade fish appears, there are ways to increase your chances of catching one before anyone else does. But alas, it’s still all down to RNG!

Preferences

What does the Isonade prefer? Now that you know the singular location where the fish spawns, it’s time to find out how to boost your chances even more. Some fish depend on bait, certain in-game times, weather conditions, and seasons.

  • Bait
    • The Isonade is more likely to bite the bait if it’s a Truffle Worm. To get this type of bait, you need to obtain and open Volcano Geodes!
  • In-game Season
    • It appears during any season
  • In-game Weather
    • It doesn’t matter what the weather’s like, the Isonade can appear whether it’s raining, windy, sunny, etc
  • In-game Time
    • The Isonade fish appears during both the daytime and the nighttime
