About The Golden Seahorse
The Golden Seahorse is a Mythical fish that was introduced in the Forsaken Shores update, and is part of the Forsake Shores bestiary. It is a very light fish, usually weighing no more than 1kg in its unmutated form. It sells for a high value at merchants, despite its very low weight, so don’t let the small size put you off!
How To Catch A Golden Seahorse
The Golden Seahorse is one of the two new Mythicals you can catch in the waters around the new island, The Forsaken Shores. You can find this island to the Southwest of Roslit Bay.
The Golden Seahorse favours the following things.
- It prefers the daytime
- It appears in all weathers.
- Summer is its preferred season.
- Its favorite bait is Weird Algae.
Due to the Golden Seahorse’s low weight, you do not need a rod with a high weight limit. In theory just about any rod should be able to handle it. With this in mind, we think that prioritizing the Luck stat is the best way to net a Golden Seahorse easily.
There’s also the nuclear option, which is to pop an Aurora Totem for a big Luck boost. We caught two of these more or less back to back at night with a Steady Rod while the Aurora Borealis was active.
