Put the fun back into your Fisch Fungal Rod! This guide tells you how to obtain this quest rod, its stats, ability, and how to catch an alligator! (I promise it’s related!) Let’s get into it.

Start playing Fisch on Roblox. After you’re done here, try casting your line into our Fisch Sharks Guide and Fisch Rod Tier List.

Fisch Fungal Rod

The Fungal Rod is one of a few rods you’re able to get for free alongside the starter Flimsy Rod, Magma Rod and Haunted Rod. However, this Rod might be a touch more unique since it’s not as weak as the Flimsy Rod, has more purpose than the Magma Rod, and isn’t limited, unlike the Haunted.

To get your hands on it, you’ll need to accept a quest from the Agaric NPC, who is a sweet little mushroom man sitting against a large redcap mushroom at Mushgrove Swamp (Who would’ve guessed?) After seeing a beastly gator, Agaric hands you a Fungal Rod, and you get to keep the caught Alligator!

Fungal Rod Stats

Alongside its standard yet unique stats which every rod has, the Fungal Rod contains a secondary ability. During fishing, there’s a 70% chance for the rod to spout mushroom spores that then adorn the fisher with Luck IV for 45 seconds! This is a generous boost, however, don’t expect to catch any of the massive Mythical fish since the Fungal Rod can only withstand 200 KG at once.

  • Lure Speed: -10%
  • Luck: 45%
  • Control: 0
  • Resilience: 0%
  • Max KG: 200 KG

Catching An Alligator

The Alligator is the prized possession of the Mushgrove Swamp, being both the rarest and only Legendary catch. Luckily, you’re able to hunt alligators pretty easily if you know their nesting spots and preferences.

To catch one of these toothy beasts, you should bide your time until it’s a foggy night during Spring. And, to sweeten the deal, equip any Fish Head baits you have available. With all of these preferences aligned, you’ll have heightened your chances of ensnaring an Alligator to show to Agaric!
