Fisch Dumbo Octopus Guide
First we’ll talk about the fish itself, then we can go into how to catch one.
About The Dumbo Octopus
The Dumbo Octopus is a Legendary fish and part of the Roslit Bay Bestiary. It generally weighs between 3kg and 4kg, so can be caught with most fishing rods, though hooking it invokes a 15% penalty on your catch speed, something that might be more noticeable on faster rods.
How To Catch The Dumbo Octopus
Dumbo Octopi are caught around Roslit Bay. They prefer the following conditions:
- Preferred Season: Winter
- Preferred Time: None
- Preferred Weather: Rain
- Preferred Bait: Worms
Keep in mind however, that these conditions are not the only conditions the octopus appears in. In our test, we were able to catch one in Spring, at Night, in Foggy weather with no bait. It’s all a matter of probability.
Some players report finding Dumbo Octopi most around the reef area in the bay, the inlet next to the Shipwright. This is where we caught ours, though there’s no indication on the Fish Radar of an abundance in the area. We were, in fact, fishing in the Pufferfish abundance area on the North side of the inlet. And no, we didn’t catch a pufferfish.
In fact, we caught two Dumbo Octopus, and no pufferfish. We may never get hold of the Magma Rod.
