The timer here counts down to the launch. If you’re logged in at the time the timer reaches zero, you get a shiny new boat, exclusive to the event.
Cursed Sea Content – What Do We Know So Far?
While there are still secrets unrevealed, we know some of what awaits in the new update… and this one is a biggie. Let’s run over some of the features confirmed.
The Second Sea
The new update will be one of the biggest changes so far, introducing a whole new world to Fisch. This will mean a whole new set of progress, with a different currency and a fresh hub island. If you’re worried by the news, don’t be! All your progress in the original Fisch world is staying where it is. There’s just a new land that gives some more opportunity to start on, and enjoy the more laid back vibe of the early game once more.
Lots Of New Rods
The new update comes with tons of new fishing rods. The visuals are a little more diverse than the First Sea rods. They’re less heavy on the glowy effects, but more geared towards unique themes and shapes. The passives are pretty interesting, too.
The Great Dreamer
If you take a look at the trailer, you might catch sight of a green portal, and the imposing form of The Great Dreamer awaiting in what looks like an arena. There’s not a ton of info available, but we’re pretty certain this is a new boss.
Yes, we’re very scared about what the progress speed penalty would be for catching Cthulhu, too.
Other Content Changes
Here are some slightly more straightforward changes that don’t need as much explanation.
- Level Cap raised to 2500.
- Cult Crate skin crate available every hour as a free prize until the 2nd of April.
- Special Great Dreamer boat will go to any players online at the time the update arrives.
