About The Cursed Eel
The Cursed Eel is a rare fish introduced with the Forsaken Shores update. It’s found in the waters around the new Forsaken Shores island. It’s also the only cursed fish… but more on that later. The Cursed Eel is relatively low in weight at around 25kg, so you shouldn’t need any specialized rods to get it.
How To Catch The Cursed Eel
You can find this fish in the Forsaken Shores. It has the following preferences for spawning. The Cursed Eel favours the following things.
- Time: It prefers the nightttime.
- Weather: It appears in rainy weather.
- Season: Summer is its preferred season.
- Bait: Its favorite bait is Coal.
You can use the Nocturnal Rod during the day to catch the fish if the weather and season is correct. You could also use the Tempest Totem to start a rain storm if you needed to change that.
There’s something else that you need to know about before you start chasing this fish though. The Cursed Eel is cursed! It’s not just a name. Fortunately, you’re not doomed if you catch it or anything, but catching it might be more tricky because of the curse in question. If you hook one of these fish, you get a hefty 50% penalty to progress speed, something normally reserved for much rarer fish.
