Fisch Crafted Rods Tier List

Let’s reel in the rankings!

S-TIER

If you’re keen on crafting your rod, save for these!

  • Rod of The Eternal King
    • With three insane abilities that stack, this forgiving rod has balanced and favourable base stats and is an excellent late-game rod. If you want to know my thoughts, I recommend checking out my Best Rod thoughts piece linked above (hint hint!).
  • Resourceful Rod
    • An unexpected S-Tier! This rod is inexpensive and its passive makes it incredibly valuable. You may need to fix its lack of Control or Resilience with an enchant, but after that, it’s a perfect rod for high-rarity catches thanks to doubling the effectiveness of bait. For example, the Weird Algae traits that typically offer +200 Universal Luck and -35% Lure Speed would now offer +400 Universal Luck and -70% Lure Speed!

A-TIER

Great alternatives if you don’t meet the level or material requirement for the S-Tier.

  • Rod of The Forgotten Fang
    • After 3 perfect catches, this rod summons a Megalodon to bait high-rarity fish with a considerable size increase. Overall this rod is a great choice for any late-game player, but being a level 750 rod I can’t bring myself to place it in the S-Tier. Any player who reaches level 750 probably has a non-crafted rod that performs much better than this one…
  • Voyager rod
    • Has two fun and beneficial abilities including a 25% chance to Fossilise fish which then triggers a 30% luck boost, and an orbital canon that stuns fish during the catch minigame to help catch them more easily.
  • Krampus’s Rod
    • Offers a random temporary buff every 10 catches lasting 3 minutes. It’s a decent mid-game rod that doesn’t lack or excel in any base stat, making it versatile for enchanting too.

B-TIER

These are decent enough for early to mid-game players, and offer a sense of accomplishment since you made it yourself!

  • Celestial Rod
    • This rod would be a higher tier if its ability requirements were reduced. After 85 catches, boosts trigger for 5 minutes applying +50% Luck, +30% Lure Speed and all caught fish have the Celestial mutation. This is an excellent ability but 85 catches can take a while!
  • The Lost Rod
    • Maybe this one should stay lost… Mediocre in both stats and ability. Offering a 150% luck boost for 3 catches after 6 perfect catches in a row. This would be great if its base luck was higher than 25%…
  • Seasons Rod
    • Has unique selling prices depending on the seasonal mutation buffs applied. It’s decent for money farming but has weak stats and by the time you reach the level 145 required, you’ll likely have a better money farming rod available.

C-TIER

Overall I wouldn’t recommend crafting these.

  • Riptide Rod
    • Requires a high level and a lot of grinding just to enjoy its ability… Maybe if it updated and became balanced it’d place higher, but for now, it’s a solid C-Tier.
  • Precision Rod
    • Often referred to as a worse Sunken Rod and I agree! It offers similar attributes but is harder to obtain. It also has little Control or Resilience, making it a builder rod where an enchant is necessary to balance it.

D-TIER

A waste of material, there are much better options amongst its peers and pre-made rods.

  • Wisdom Rod
    • It looks unique for a rod but isn’t anything special. Its stats are elementary and don’t offer much to the average player. By the time you hit the required level 40, you’re likely to have a rod that outshines this one in every way.
