You may have noticed a certain NPC popping up throughout the map. Whether you’re wondering who he is, or what the Fisch Angler Quests are, I’ll talk you through it!

Fisch Angler Quests Guide
Picking up an Angler Quest is great if you want something to aim for, or to change up your gameplay. Although there isn’t anything wrong with fishing aimlessly to see what you get, taking a quest that asks you to catch a specific fish gives you something to work towards, with the excitement of getting rewarded after.
How To Get An Angler Quest
To start a quest, speak to an Angler NPC. They are found on pretty much every island. If you can’t find one, they usually lurk by where you park a boat. Or, you can follow the white ‘Angler NPC’ tag on your screen.
When speaking to this NPC, he will give you a quest to catch a specific fish. Don’t worry if you forget what he asked for, as you’ll be able to see the quest on the top left-hand side of your screen. Once you catch the required fish, you can hand it back to any of the Angler NPCs, so you don’t have to trek back to the one who gave it to you.
Any variation of the fish counts towards the quest. For example, if he asks you to catch a salmon, but you end up getting a shiny salmon, that still counts! Keep in mind that when you hand the Angler your fish, he will keep it.
After you finish the quest, you’ll be put on a cooldown before you can pick up another. You’ll know when you can, as a message pops up on your screen letting you know that the Angler has a job for you. When that happens, go and speak to him.
Quest Rewards
Once you complete a quest, you can look forward to these rewards:
- Cash
- The amount you get is equal to the value of the fish you gave him.
- XP
- Common fish: 150 XP.
- Uncommon fish: 300 XP.
- Unusual fish: 450 XP.
- Rare fish: 600 XP.
- Bait Crate
- Quality Bait Crate
- Volcanic Geode
