Fisch Albino Fish Guide
Albinos is one of the many mutated fish types in Fisch. This mutation as implied by the name, gives Fish a striking pure white appearance with no defining patterned colours. Similar to the large selection of Mutations, Albino fish sell for more with any Merchant on any island that they reside on.
However, if you take a trip to Roslit Bay and visit the Ashe NPC who sits on a log facing the Angler NPC as you head towards the pond, she’ll buy any Albino fish off of you for a higher price.
Increasing Your Mutant Chances
Whilst there isn’t a set rod or item to increase Albino encounters, you can farm Albinos easier during certain Events. When a Mutation Surge happens, all mutated fish have a 15% spawn rate boost. This means regardless of where you cast your line, you’ll have a higher chance of catching fish with any Mutation. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee Albino encounters as it covers a large roster of possibilities, but your chances are best during the surge.
Visiting Ashe
So, is visiting Ashe worth it? Truthfully, that’s down to you as a player. If you fancy making the trip each time you’ve stockpiled some rare albinos only to make a small fraction of profit more than hitting ‘Sell Inventory’ at a Merchant’s market then yeah, it’s worth it. Otherwise, skip the trip and bulk sell alongside your other catches.
With so many in-game mutants and Albinos being few and far between, wasting your time sailing to Roslit each time you have one for sale doesn’t make the payoff feel fruitful. Trust me. I’ve had my fair share of Albinos and hardly notice much profit difference between Ashe and the Merchant. That said, it’s worth selling her at least one Albino fish to earn the Albino Vendor Title.
