Fisch Abyssal Relic Guide
The Abyssal Relic isn’t a new item, more it’s an existing item with a new mutation. Ordinarily, the Enchant Relics have a 1 in 500 encounter chance anywhere, with no ways to influence and increase line snagging. When hooked, the exclamation mark above the player’s head flashes green and the Relic inflicts a -20% progress speed.
Alternatively, when level 30, visit Sunstone Island and climb to its peaks where the Merlin NPC waits inside the wooden hut. For 11,000 C$, he will sell you an Enchant Relic under the name of ‘Power’. But, why an Abyssal Relic? And, what makes it so unique and important versus a standard or different mutation?
Abyssal Relic Obtainment and Uses
Within The Depths, an untouched entrance framed by altars and a statue guards a maze. To enter, you’ll need to place an Abyssal Relic on the blue podium, and a Hexed Relic on the red. Obtaining both mutated Relics isn’t easy since Fisch relies on RNG. However, I know two ways to secure the Abyssal Relic (and Hexed)…
- Appraisals
- Back on Moosewood to the left of the Merchant, an Appraisal NPC charges 450 C$ to re-evaluate fish (and Relics). It might cost a lot to get the mutation we’re after, but eventually, she will apply Abyssal to the Relic.
- Abyssal Enchant
- This method costs less than Appraisals but may take significantly longer depending on your RNG luck. This enchant is best on an all-rounder rod where boosts aren’t overly necessary to improve quality of life. When catching fish (or Relics), it has a 10% chance to apply the Abyssal mutation, an 80% chance to increase weight by 1.3x and a 20% chance to 0.6x weight.
