With 23 days to go until Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Square Enix will officially release a demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth today.The new was announced at the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth State of Play, and the demo will be available to download via the PlayStation Store. It will let fans play as Cloud and Sephiroth in a sequence from the early part of the game among other content. Square Enix also announced that it’s planning to release an update later this month “that will allow you to explore part of the Junon region before the release of the full game on February 29,” it said in a PlayStation blog post. It’s not an entirely surprising move by Square Enix, as the publisher released a demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake ahead of its release a few years back. The demo was previously leaked via the PlayStation Store ahead of Tuesday’s State of Play.Along with the confirmation of the demo, today’s State of Play showed off 11 minutes of new gameplay, giving an overview of the map, exploration, minigames, and more.Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second of a planned trilogy of games remaking Square Enix’s 1997 JRPG Final Fantasy VII. The first part, Final Fantasy VII Remake, was initially released in 2020 for the PS4 and later ported to PS5 and PC.
