No matter how many times you’ve already tried to stab your foe, you’re going to find something here that’ll help you out. So let’s get on with it – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Fighting Stance.
Look at your opponent’s pose
It’s important to match your own pose to that of your opponent. Look to see how they’re going to be attacking, and try and counter it with your own positioning. Where is their weapon heading? Where are they most vulnerable? Use all of the information to pick your perfect pose. Check where the red balls are too – some opponents can only be hit in certain spots.
Go low
A lot of the time, crouching down is one of the best forms of attack. If your opponent’s weapons are going high, simply move your body until you’re as low as you can go. You only have to hit one of the red balls that make up your foe, and if you hit them first you’re going to win. This low rule doesn’t always hold true, but it’s a good starting point for your decision making process.
Pick the right weapon
If your opponent is using short weapons, use the longest one you’ve got to stab them before they get close. If they’re using a long weapon, try and avoid it, then stab them when you’re past it. Use your common sense and the lessons you’ve already learned from defeats and victories to pick the right weapon.
Shields break swords, maces break shields
Shields will block attacks from swords and other pointy objects, but they’ll break when they’re smashed by heavier objects like maces. Look out for attacks that are going to break your shield and try to use a different strategy to take down your foe. Learning as you play is the key here.
Don’t leave anything vulnerable
Be careful not to leave any part of you sticking out, because even the slightest nick is going to kill you. When you’ve positioned yourself, double check that you haven’t left an arm or leg in the path of the enemy’s blade. When you’re satisfied, tap to charge.
