Facewear in Final Fantasy 14 is an extra accessory slot that exists separate from your equipment or glamour. This allows you for example to wear a set of glasses alongside your favorite hat. As of writing, the selection of registerable Facewear is fairly limited, most of them unlockables with “The Faces We Wear” in their names.
However, these Facewear accessories can be equipped and unequipped whenever you like. You can even change their color at no extra cost. To do that, simply open your character menu, select the Facewear slot, and pick the accessory and color you want.
