Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves developer, KOF Studios, announced that some fans can get their hands on the first DLC Fighter as soon as August this year.

Fatal Fury: City of Wolves’ upcoming DLC fighter, Ken, will be available to play at an SNK booth during Evo 2025 in Las Vegas, which will be open from August 1st to 3rd.

In an announcement on X, the official Fatal Fury account wrote: “SNK will have a booth at Evo 2025! Visitors will be able to try the upcoming summer DLC character, Ken! Come and check it out!”

Ken will be released as part of the Fatal Fury and Street Fighter 6 collaboration that was teased last year. However, KOF Studios has yet to reveal if the other featured DLC character, Chun-Li, will be playable at the event alongside Ken.

While fans can try out Ken at Evo 2025 for the first time, the Fatal Fury: City of Wolves tournament will not have Ken available on the roster.

Fatal Fury: City of Wolves Tournament to be Held during Evo 2025

Evo 2025 is set to be the largest fighting game event of the year, featuring multiple fighting game tournaments like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and Fatal Fury: City of Wolves.

It will be the first major tournament for the game, and the latest event in the SNK World Championship 2025 circuit. It has already held multiple qualifiers, from the Brussels Challenge Major in May to Hessen Crash XXII in June.

As with most Evo tournaments, the event is completely open and will use the double elimination format. Players who enter Evo are required to bring their own controller compatible for the PS5 platform. The best players will then compete for a place in the SNK World Championship 2025 Finals, but the top 16 will each receive $3,000.

So far in 2025, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves has grown in popularity in the FGC scene. According to Esports Charts, Fatal Fury has held nine tournaments this year thus far. It saw a peak viewership of over 42,000 during the SNK official tournament at Evo Japan 2025. Its highest prize pool so far was offered during the Brussels Challenger Major, with $17,000 in total.

By comparison, the Las Vegas-based Evo 2025’s SNK tournament will offer $48,000, a major leap in funds from what has been offered previously.
