Ubisoft and gTV have released a 40-minute documentary about the making of Far Cry 6. Titled ‘Revolución: A Far Cry Story,’ it offers behind-the-scenes footage about game development during a pandemic and the team’s personal stories.Revolución: A Far Cry Story is now available on the gTV YouTube channel and offers us a peek at the highs and lows of Far Cry 6’s development during the pandemic, while also giving us insight into some of the individual experiences the team had. There is also plenty of behind-the-scenes footage from narrative director Navid Khavari, a few members of the team, and the actors that portray some of the game’s characters: Giancarlo Esposito (Antón Castillo), Nisa Gunduz (female Dani Rojas), Sean Rey (male Dani Rojas), and Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz (the awesome, Philly Barzaga). The documentary also dives into Ubisoft Toronto’s commitment to inclusion and diversity, from bringing on Cuban actor Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz as a writer to ensure the Afro-Yaran culture was represented well, to correctly representing the trans community by speaking with various groups (including their own staff). It’s a great watch, and certainly worth putting the kettle on and sitting down with your preferred brew to watch.
