We’ve seen a 33% increase in players collecting Fallout 4 achievements since Amazon dropped its fantastic Fallout trailer two weeks ago. In fact, it’s not just Fallout 4’s player count getting a boost, as multiple Fallout games have increased in Xbox players since the TV show’s latest trailer, leading to quite the resurgence for some of the best RPGs on Xbox.Fallout Xbox players increase following Amazon’s latest trailerWe may not be the only ones impressed with what we’ve seen from the show so far, as Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Fallout New Vegas appear to have had a boost in Xbox players. According to our data, which is collected from a sample pool of over 2.4 million global Xbox accounts, Fallout 4 has seen a 33% increase in Xbox players since the latest Fallout TV show trailer dropped on March 7. In fact, Fallout 4 has returned to the top 40 in our Gameplay Chart this week in 38th. That’s not bad going for a game that hasn’t had any new content since 2016.There has also been a 6% increase in Fallout 76 players over the last couple of weeks. It was the 61st most-played Xbox game when the TV show’s trailer dropped, and as of this week, it’s 48th.While we don’t have the data to see where it was beforehand, 2010’s Fallout: New Vegas re-entered the top 200 most-played Xbox games this week at 152nd. As for Fallout 3, it hasn’t re-emerged into the top 200 like the other games, so it’s unclear how many players have decided to dive back into it.It’s certainly reasonable to attribute some of Fallout 4 and New Vegas’ impressive increase in players to the upcoming TV show, as they are both contained single-player experiences steeped in lore. They’re perfect for anyone wanting to familiarize themselves with the Fallout universe before settling in for the series. Fallout 76, on the other hand, is huge, and with Season 16 and the highly anticipated Atlantic City update arriving on March 26, many players could be getting prepared for the new content. If we weren’t already sold on Amazon’s upcoming show, it only took the latest trailer three minutes to win us over with its faithful reconstruction of the Fallout games. Walton Goggins’ Cooper Howard looks fantastic, the Brotherhood of Steel’s Power Armor is intimidating, and Ella Purnell’s Vault Dweller, Lucy, comes across as completely ignorant of the outside world’s reality. Throw in a Mr. Handy, Pip-Boy, Deathclaw, some awesome makeshift guns, and a decaying L.A., and you’ve got yourself a promising-looking show on your hands. In other Fallout news, Microsoft is giving away an awesome custom Fallout Xbox Series X to celebrate the Fallout TV show, which arrives on Amazon Prime on April 11.
