Fable reportedly down for 2025 release as an Xbox exclusive

According to The Verge and corroborated by The Gamer, both Fable and South of Midnight are expected to appear during Xbox’s show with 2025 release windows. Additionally, neither game is expected to be part of Microsoft’s rumored Latitude project, which handles the Xbox exclusives launching on rival consoles. If true, Fable and South of Midnight could be Xbox console exclusives. In the same report, The Verge suggests that Microsoft is developing a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved, which is being “considered” for rival platforms. It’s not the only game on the potential docket either, with Xbox exclusives like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, and more also being weighed up. This weekend seems to be shaping up to be a wild ride for Xbox fans, and we’re excited to see what Microsoft has in store. Xbox’s reputation has taken hit after hit so far this year and the company is in dire need of a win, and we as fans could do with a boost in morale — and a clearer vision for where the platform is heading. As for other rumors, the Xbox Games Showcase could see Xbox reveal Gears 6 and multiplatform Doom: The Dark Ages.
