Diablo Immortal has received a massive update, The Writhing Wilds. Blizzard has packed the update with new content, including a new region to explore, a revamped Battlegrounds mode, new crafting mechanics, and a storyline that’s set to carry the game until the end of the year.
Here’s What’s in Store in The Writhing Wilds of Diablo Immortal
Sharval Wilds is the latest location which is twisted by the influence of rogue Fey spirits. Things have gone completely off the rails with druids and witches trying to keep everything in check. So, you have to stand up for the people to protect the region.
Battlegrounds mode is getting a revamp and a new map has been added. The updated mechanics should make fights more interesting irrespective of you playing PvP or experimenting with different builds.
The Writhing Wilds update also introduces three new Legendary Gems to Diablo Immortal. Colossus Engine is a five-star gem that boosts skill damage by 50%, increases size and range and makes you immune to knockbacks.
Specter Glass, a two-star gem, makes your Critical Hits even deadlier by breaking enemy armour and increasing your damage and crit chance. Faltergrasp, a one-star gem, messes with enemy movement, slowing them down and shutting down their dash skills whenever you land a Critical Hit.
What’s the New Storyline?
The Writhing Wilds of Diablo Immortal kicks off a major storyline called Epoch of Madness, following the rise of Albrecht. Expect some big developments as the narrative unfolds over the next few months.
Crafting is getting a boost, too. You can now gather materials from Elite Monsters in the open world and use them to create Legendary items with class-specific perks.
