HoYoverse has just dropped some details about the Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6 update. It’s called Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age and is arriving on October 23rd. This time, you’re heading over to Penacony and its Paperfold University.
What’s In Store?
In Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6, Paperfold University is all hyped up for a fresh semester and its anniversary. The place is buzzing with student life with clubs recruiting, music everywhere and a whole bunch of academic events.
Now, the real star of this update is Rappa. She’s the new 5-star character, a Galaxy Ranger, and also calls herself a ninja. She’s all about ‘ninjutsu,’ and there are ninja mantras and scrolls, graffiti and rap involved.
Rappa is after some big bad called Evil Ninja Osaru, and she’s not stopping until she finds him. In battle, she’s bringing a first-person view for her ultimate attack, Sealform Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade. You’ll be slicing through enemies and reducing their Toughness like a pro.

Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription is an event where you’ll be managing a band for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party. You’ll team up with Rappa to put on one killer performance.
Limited 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron and Aventurine are making their return in the warp event for the first and second halves of the update. Catch a glimpse of all the action below!

There’s a massive void, and it’s tied to some post-Second Emperor’s War drama where scholars were duking it out over the Scepter system.
