Ex-Ubisoft veteran and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla director, Eric Baptizat, has confirmed he has stepped into the same role at EA’s Motive Studio for the Dead Space remake. The news comes via the keen eyes at VGC who noticed Eric Baptizat’s social media post, which confirmed his recent switch to EA will see him working on the Dead Space remake as the game’s director. Baptizat was previously a 16-year veteran at Ubisoft, working on many of the Assassin’s Creed titles such as Black Flag and Origins, but most recently as director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Baptizat left Ubisoft earlier this year to join EA’s Motive Studio and began working on an unannounced title — which has now been confirmed to be the upcoming Dead Space remake. He’s working alongside another ex-Ubisoft veteran, Campos-Oriola, who was previously the creative director of For Honor and lead designer on Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Red Steel 1 and 2. We’ll be eagerly awaiting news of Dead Space’s progress over the coming year.
