Esports and gaming consultancy company Epic Global has rebranded to Feenix Group following a €1.5m (£1.26m) investment by Quintas Capital and Beach Point Capital Management.

The new financing round and rebranding will see the company expand into new verticals by establishing four separate segments, such as a gaming studio and talent management division.

Epic Global is known as an established esports and gaming agency which has helped connect esports brands and potential sponsors since its inception in 2020. The company will still keep working on partnership management, consultancy and gaming marketing as before, but will now expand to offer new services.

The two new verticals are a new game development studio, called Feenix Studio, which will be focused on brand and IP integrations into Roblox and Fortnite. This is similar to other ventures that were launched in recent times, such as the one launched by Misfits. The second new vertical is called Feenix Talent, and is, as its name implies, a talent management agency for esports players and gaming creators.

The talent agency has partnered with UK law firm Lawrence Stephens and will “focus on cultivating youth engagement through a mix of insights, creative vision and legal strategy.”

Sinead Hosey, Co-founder of Feenix Group, commented on the rebranding: “We’ve long been recognised as one of the most trusted and reputable agencies in the gaming and esports industry and with this rebrand we’re excited to cover new ground as we establish more brands and talent figures in the gaming space. We’ve already signed some groundbreaking deals that are sure to cause ripples once announced so stay tuned for more.”
