The Elder Scrolls Online can be a little stingy when it comes to giving away new mounts, motifs, and other customization outfits. Outside of new expansions, you’re hard-pressed to get all that exciting content without having to head over to the store. Well, in the holiday spirit of giving, the new ESO Frosty Fun Golden Pursuits are showering us with Crown Crates, a creepy mount, and even a new weapon style. Be quick though, as these are limited-time freebies.
For those who have yet to take part in a Golden Pursuits event in The Elder Scrolls Online, these are limited-time challenges that you can complete to earn various rewards in the MMO.
While you’d expect the rewards to be festive and wintered-themed, that’s not actually the case here. What makes it even more weird is that the majority of these items are brand-new and exclusive to this winter event. For example, the Shoal Bear mount is a luminous deep-sea variation, while the Evergreen Saturalia weapon style features twisting wood and vines. With that said, I won’t complain about free items in return for activities I was already going to do – especially when they look this good.
For completing activities like dungeons and battlegrounds, you can earn All-Maker crates, the Frost Draugr Runegathering customized action, Nord Hero furnishing and, of course, the Shoal Bear mount. Encrusted in shells and coral, it’s absolutely stunning and easily the highlight of the activity-based rewards.
If you’ve got your eyes on the Frosty Fun event’s exclusive weapon style, then you’ll need to work a little harder:
- Complete five quests – Evergreen Saturalia Battle Axe
- Kill five World Bosses – Evergreen Saturalia Dagger
- Kill five Delve Bosses – Evergreen Saturalia Bow
- Complete five Incursions Evergreen Saturalia Greatsword
- Complete a Dungeon – Evergreen Saturalia Mace
- Complete a Trial – Evergreen Saturalia Maul
- Visit 10 Player Homes- Evergreen Saturalia Staff
- Craft 50 Items with Any Skill – Evergreen Saturalia Shield
- Complete a Battlegrounds match – Evergreen Saturalia Axe
- Earn 10 Event Tickets – Evergreen Saturalia Sword
To celebrate the holidays, Zenimax is running the new Frosty Fun Golden Pursuit from Tuesday, December 3, 2024, until Monday, January 6, 2025.
Although ESO is one of the best single-player MMOs, this second set of challenges will force you to play with others, most notably for completing a 12-player Trial. There are plenty to choose from though and lots of welcoming guilds that will give you a hand if you’re hankering to complete the set in the RPG game.
