Erickson Lubin kept his winning streak alive with an impressive round 6 knockout of former unified champion Jeison Rosario.
Super welterweight Erickson Lubin notched his sixth win in a row with a round 6 knockout victory over former unified super welterweight champion Jeison Rosario.
Lubin and Rosario did battle on June 26 on the undercard of the Showtime Gervonta Davis vs. Mario Barrios main event. Originally, this fight looked like a 50-50 fight on paper, but Lubin closed the fight in convincing style.
Lubin hurt Rosario at the end of round 3 with a left hand. Rosario was wobbly while walking back to his corner but recovered well in-between rounds.

In round 4, Rosario hurt Lubin with a left jab. He couldn’t keep up the momentum and folded in round 6.
Lubin put Rosario down with a combination to the body but got back to his feet. The damage was done, and several more punches put Rosario down again. Rosario clutched the left side of his body and failed to beat the referee’s counts.
Lubin has come a long way since losing to Jermell Charlo back in 2017. He’s climbing back towards a title shot and ended Rosario faster than Charlo did in 2020.
