In Enshrouded, there are many resources that you can find, some simpler and some more difficult. An example is the Enshrouded Obsidian, a resource that, if you don’t know where to look, won’t be so easy to find on the game map. As you have surely guessed, in fact, mining resources are among the most difficult to find, and Obsidian is certainly no exception. It is, in fact, one of the rarest resources you can find in the game, so as soon as you see a place where it is present, we advise you to get some.
Where to Find Obsidian in Enshrouded
The Obsidian certainly does not go unnoticed. You will have no problems of any kind understanding that you are in the right spot, as you absolutely cannot confuse the black stones that compose it. However, the most difficult thing to find are the black stones in question. There are only a few places on the map where they are present and if you don’t know where to go, it could take you hours to find them. Therefore, below are the best locations to go to find this resource in Enshrouded.
For now, there are three places you need to go to find Obsidian in Enshrouded. All three are located near the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. However, since the game is in Early Access and we do not yet have access to the complete map, it is very likely that when this happens, the areas in which it will be possible to find this resource will be greater. If so, we will update the guide accordingly.
North-East of the Mining Rift
You can find Obsidian Ore under a big stone bridge northeast of the Mining Rift. To get there, just glide west from the Ancient Spire. Underneath the bridge, there are carts and barrels near some big mushrooms. When you go under the bridge, look to your left, and you will see a bunch of black stones. That’s where you can mine Obsidian Ore.
East of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire
The second farming spot has two places where you can find Obsidian Ore close together. Start with the spot on the north side. You can glide there from the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. When you reach the top of the mountain, heading towards the Sun Temple, you will spot a small hunter camp. Mine the inside wall to get Limestone, and you will also find a chest. On the left side of the chest, a bit further into the wall, you will see Obsidian Ore. Once you have collected the Ore there, glide towards the south, and you will see another stone arch, similar to the first one. There are carts and barrels underneath it, and you will find another pool of Obsidian Ore on the left side.
Enshrouded Obsidian Recipes
Now you know where to go to get this resource, but what do you need it for? In reality, there are still no confirmed recipes in which this resource is present. For this reason, saying exactly what its use is in the game is not so simple. It seems, in fact, that this resource is very useful in the last part of the game, but we still cannot say for sure. At the moment, the only recipe that is known to require this resource is the Black Cauldron. However, as soon as new news becomes known about it, we will not waste time updating you.
