The difficulty of Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree has been a topic of much discussion among fans since its launch this month, but Johan Pilestedt, the director of Helldivers 2, has come to the defence of FromSoftware’s latest expansion.Pilestedt replied to an Elden Ring player on X who shared their frustrations at the high difficulty of Shadow of the Erdtre, which has attracted a lot of criticism from fans. I tried Dark Souls 1. After defeating the first couple of bosses, I realized it wasn’t fun or rewarding. I only felt relief, not accomplished. I stopped playing Dark Souls because of this.”Pilestedt didn’t agree with this statement, replying, “A game for everyone is a game for no one.
